Description
Warm and comforting breakfast quesadillas filled with sweet cinnamon-spiced apples and melted cheese, perfect for a quick morning meal or brunch treat.
Ingredients
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Cooking spray or additional butter for skillet
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Add sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Cook for 5–7 minutes until apples are soft and caramelized. Remove from heat.
- Lay tortillas flat and sprinkle cheese evenly over half of each tortilla.
- Spoon the apple mixture over the cheese, then fold tortillas in half.
- Lightly grease a skillet and cook quesadillas over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, cut into wedges, and serve warm.
Notes
- Serve with yogurt, maple syrup, or nut butter for extra flavor.
- Use whole wheat tortillas for added fiber.
- Best enjoyed fresh while warm and crispy.
