Description

A creamy and comforting baked mushroom pasta loaded with tender mushrooms, rich garlic cream sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for a cozy meal.


Ingredients

  • 250g pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook until browned and tender.
  5. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and milk, then add thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently.
  7. Stir in half of the mozzarella and parmesan cheese until melted.
  8. Add cooked pasta and mix until well coated.
  9. Transfer mixture to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  11. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

  • Use a mix of mushrooms for deeper flavor.
  • Add spinach or chicken for variation.
  • Do not overcook pasta before baking.
