Description

Barbecue Bacon Pizza is a smoky and savory pizza topped with tangy barbecue sauce, crispy bacon, tender chicken, red onions, and melted mozzarella cheese on a golden crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
  3. Transfer dough to a baking tray or pizza stone.
  4. Brush edges lightly with olive oil.
  5. Spread barbecue sauce evenly over the base.
  6. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  7. Top with shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, and sliced red onion.
  8. Add remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

  • Pre-bake crust for 5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  • Add jalapeños for a spicy kick.
  • Use smoked gouda for a deeper smoky flavor.
