Caesar Spaghetti is a bold and creamy pasta twist on the classic Caesar salad, featuring tender spaghetti tossed in a garlicky Parmesan Caesar dressing with crisp romaine and crunchy croutons.
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup croutons
- Grilled chicken (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil.
- Remove from heat and stir in Caesar dressing, lemon juice, black pepper, and salt. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Gently fold in grated Parmesan cheese.
- Allow pasta to cool slightly, then toss with chopped romaine lettuce.
- Top with croutons and additional Parmesan. Add grilled chicken if desired.
- Serve immediately while slightly warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Add anchovy paste for a more authentic Caesar flavor.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best taste.
- Serve immediately after adding lettuce to maintain crispness.
- For extra crunch, toast croutons in a skillet with olive oil and garlic.
