Description

Cheesy skillet meatballs are juicy, well-seasoned meatballs cooked in a savory tomato sauce and topped with melted cheese, all prepared in one skillet for an easy and comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Form the mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add meatballs to the skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and reduce heat to low.
  6. Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes, until meatballs are fully cooked.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the meatballs.
  8. Cover the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use a cast-iron skillet for best heat distribution.
  • Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
