Description

Cherry Pie Bombs are bite-sized desserts made with flaky dough wrapped around sweet cherry pie filling, baked until golden, and finished with a sugary glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate biscuit dough and flatten each piece into a small circle.
  3. Place about 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling in the center of each dough circle.
  4. Carefully wrap the dough around the filling, pinching seams to seal.
  5. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush each dough ball with melted butter.
  7. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the tops.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar with milk to form a glaze.
  10. Drizzle glaze over warm cherry pie bombs before serving.

Notes

  • Be sure to seal the dough well to prevent leaks.
  • You can substitute cherry filling with apple or blueberry.
