Description
Cherry Pie Bombs are bite-sized desserts made with flaky dough wrapped around sweet cherry pie filling, baked until golden, and finished with a sugary glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 60 g powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate biscuit dough and flatten each piece into a small circle.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling in the center of each dough circle.
- Carefully wrap the dough around the filling, pinching seams to seal.
- Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each dough ball with melted butter.
- Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the tops.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar with milk to form a glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm cherry pie bombs before serving.
Notes
- Be sure to seal the dough well to prevent leaks.
- You can substitute cherry filling with apple or blueberry.
- Best served warm and fresh.
