Description
A comforting and creamy chicken and broccoli pasta made with tender chicken breast, crisp broccoli, and a flavorful sauce tossed with perfectly cooked pasta—ideal for a quick family dinner.
Ingredients
- 400 g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 cups chicken breast, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Steam or blanch broccoli for 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp; set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken slices, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and fully cooked.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until sauce thickens.
- Add cooked pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss until well coated.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve warm with extra parmesan if desired.
Notes
- You may substitute cream with milk for a lighter sauce.
- Use whole wheat pasta for added fiber.
- Best served immediately while creamy.
