Description

Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp with Rice is a rich and comforting dish featuring tender shrimp cooked in a creamy garlic butter sauce, served over fluffy rice for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 500 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 120 ml chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 cups cooked white rice


Instructions

  1. Season shrimp with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Add heavy cream and parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Return shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until coated and heated through.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  10. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
  • You can substitute cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables or a side salad.
