Description

Crispy Corn Cheese Bites are golden, crunchy appetizers made with sweet corn and gooey cheese, lightly seasoned and fried or baked to perfection for a crowd-pleasing snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sweet corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, lightly mash the corn kernels.
  2. Add cheese, flour, cornstarch, egg, milk, green onions, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Mix until a thick batter forms.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  5. Scoop small portions of the mixture and carefully drop into hot oil.
  6. Fry for 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Can be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Use pepper jack cheese for a spicy version.
  • Best served immediately for maximum crispiness.
