Crispy Lemon Garlic Mushroom Bites are golden, crunchy mushrooms coated in a flavorful garlic-lemon seasoning, perfect as an appetizer, snack, or plant-based side dish.
Ingredients
- 16 oz button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, toss mushrooms with olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Coat mushrooms evenly in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Arrange mushrooms in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, use panko breadcrumbs.
- Can be made in an air fryer at 400°F for 12–15 minutes.
- Serve with aioli, ranch, or marinara for dipping.
