Description

Crispy, golden puff pastry twists filled with creamy cheese, smoky bacon, and spicy jalapeños, perfect as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or party snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 23 fresh jalapeños, finely diced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, jalapeños, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over half of the pastry sheet.
  5. Fold the other half over the filling and gently press to seal.
  6. Cut into 1-inch strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  7. Twist each strip several times and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush twists with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by keeping or removing jalapeño seeds.
  • Best served warm for maximum crispness.
