Description

Easy Spinach Quiche is a savory, flavorful dish made with a buttery crust, eggs, cheese, and spinach. It’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach (chopped, or 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (if using fresh spinach)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust on a baking sheet to catch any drips during baking.
  2. If using fresh spinach, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the spinach and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until wilted. If using frozen spinach, make sure it is thawed and drained well to remove excess moisture. Set aside to cool.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder (if using), and nutmeg (if using) until well combined.
  4. Add the cooked spinach to the egg mixture and stir in the shredded cheeses: cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Mix until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the spinach and egg mixture into the pie crust. Use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and lightly browned on top. You can insert a toothpick or knife into the center to check if it comes out clean.
  7. Allow the quiche to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with extra grated Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.
  8. Enjoy your delicious, easy spinach quiche!
