Description
Easy Spinach Quiche is a savory, flavorful dish made with a buttery crust, eggs, cheese, and spinach. It’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)
- 1 cup fresh spinach (chopped, or 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (if using fresh spinach)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust on a baking sheet to catch any drips during baking.
- If using fresh spinach, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the spinach and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until wilted. If using frozen spinach, make sure it is thawed and drained well to remove excess moisture. Set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder (if using), and nutmeg (if using) until well combined.
- Add the cooked spinach to the egg mixture and stir in the shredded cheeses: cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Pour the spinach and egg mixture into the pie crust. Use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and lightly browned on top. You can insert a toothpick or knife into the center to check if it comes out clean.
- Allow the quiche to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with extra grated Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.
- Enjoy your delicious, easy spinach quiche!
