Description

Crispy fried Doritos stuffed with gooey melted cheese, coated in a crunchy breading and deep-fried to golden perfection for an irresistible snack.

Ingredients

  • 1215 Doritos chips (any flavor)
  • 6 mozzarella cheese sticks, cut in half
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup crushed Doritos (same flavor)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Optional dipping sauce: ranch, marinara, or cheese sauce

Instructions

  1. Carefully press two Doritos together with a piece of mozzarella cheese sandwiched between them.
  2. Freeze the stuffed Doritos for 30 minutes to help them hold together.
  3. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with crushed Doritos mixed with breadcrumbs.
  4. Dip each stuffed Dorito into flour, then egg, then the Doritos-breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to coat.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the coated Doritos in batches for 1–2 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Freezing helps prevent cheese from leaking during frying.
  • Work in small batches to keep oil temperature steady.
  • Best served immediately while cheese is melty.
