Description

Tender mushrooms sautéed in garlic butter and finished with Parmesan cheese and herbs, creating a rich, savory side dish that’s quick and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb mushrooms, cleaned and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add mushrooms and cook for 6–8 minutes until browned and tender, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Reduce heat and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over mushrooms, stirring gently to combine.
  6. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until cheese melts slightly.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure mushrooms brown properly.
  • Use fresh mushrooms for best texture and flavor.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice for brightness if desired.
  • Can be made dairy-free by omitting butter and Parmesan.
  • Pairs well with steak, chicken, or pasta.
