Description

Tender salmon fillets glazed with a sweet and tangy honey pineapple sauce, perfectly caramelized and bursting with tropical flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 150 g each)
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine pineapple juice, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Add the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the salmon fillets skin-side down for 4–5 minutes until crispy.
  6. Flip the salmon and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  7. Pour the honey pineapple glaze over the salmon and spoon the sauce over the fillets.
  8. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and glazed.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist.
  • You can grill or bake the salmon instead of pan-searing.
  • Serve with rice, quinoa, or steamed vegetables.
