Description
Tender salmon fillets glazed with a sweet and tangy honey pineapple sauce, perfectly caramelized and bursting with tropical flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 150 g each)
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a small saucepan, combine pineapple juice, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the salmon fillets skin-side down for 4–5 minutes until crispy.
- Flip the salmon and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Pour the honey pineapple glaze over the salmon and spoon the sauce over the fillets.
- Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and glazed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist.
- You can grill or bake the salmon instead of pan-searing.
- Serve with rice, quinoa, or steamed vegetables.
