Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 12 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C).
  3. In a small saucepan, combine honey, red pepper flakes, and hot sauce. Warm gently for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Slice cooked chicken and toss in warm hot honey sauce until coated.
  5. Divide cooked rice among serving bowls.
  6. Top with sliced hot honey chicken, shredded carrots, cucumber, and avocado.
  7. Drizzle extra hot honey sauce over bowls if desired.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
