Description

Italian Sushi is a creative fusion dish made by rolling Italian ingredients like prosciutto, mozzarella, basil, and sun-dried tomatoes into sushi-style rolls for a fresh and flavorful appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas or thin flatbreads
  • 200 g fresh mozzarella, sliced into strips
  • 120 g thinly sliced prosciutto (or halal beef alternative)
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp pesto sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Lay tortillas flat on a clean surface.
  2. Spread a thin layer of pesto evenly over each tortilla.
  3. Arrange prosciutto slices evenly across the surface.
  4. Place mozzarella strips, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil leaves in a line across the center.
  5. Sprinkle lightly with black pepper.
  6. Roll tortillas tightly into logs.
  7. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  8. Slice into 1-inch rounds and serve.

Notes
