Description

A classic no-bake layered dessert inspired by the banana split, featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy cheesecake filling, fresh bananas, pineapple, and whipped topping finished with chocolate and cherries.


Ingredients

  • 200g graham crackers or digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 250g cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or similar)
  • 3-4 bananas, sliced
  • 1 can (400g) crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
  • Maraschino cherries for topping


Instructions

  1. Mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter and press into the bottom of a dish to form the crust.
  2. Refrigerate the crust for 15-20 minutes to set.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping and spread evenly over the crust.
  5. Layer sliced bananas evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Spread drained crushed pineapple over the bananas.
  7. Top with remaining whipped topping and smooth evenly.
  8. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top.
  9. Sprinkle chopped nuts if using and garnish with cherries.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set before serving.
