Description
A rich and indulgent creamy seafood lasagna layered with tender shrimp, sweet crab meat, lasagna noodles, and a smooth garlic cream sauce baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 300 g raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
- 200 g crab meat
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add shrimp, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook until just pink. Remove from heat and gently mix with crab meat.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk and cream, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
- Season sauce with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Remove from heat.
- Spread a thin layer of cream sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer noodles, seafood mixture, sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with sauce and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Do not overcook shrimp before baking to keep them tender.
- You may add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
- This lasagna pairs well with a fresh green salad.
