Description

Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then pat dry.
- Prick each potato several times with a fork.
- Rub potatoes with olive oil and season evenly with salt and black pepper.
- Place potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, until the skins are crisp and a fork easily pierces the center.
- Remove from the oven, slice open, fluff the inside with a fork, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, bake directly on the oven rack.
- Top with butter, sour cream, cheese, or chives as desired.
