Description

A classic baked potato with a fluffy interior and crispy skin, perfect as a simple side dish or customizable main with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then pat dry.
  3. Prick each potato several times with a fork.
  4. Rub potatoes with olive oil and season evenly with salt and black pepper.
  5. Place potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes, until the skins are crisp and a fork easily pierces the center.
  7. Remove from the oven, slice open, fluff the inside with a fork, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, bake directly on the oven rack.
