A hearty breakfast pizza topped with creamy sausage gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and a golden pizza crust—perfect for a weekend brunch or crowd-pleasing breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 prepared pizza dough
- 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (beef or chicken)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp milk (for eggs)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley or green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Roll out pizza dough and place on a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
- Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove sausage and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Simmer until thickened.
- Stir cooked sausage back into the gravy and remove from heat.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs with 1 tablespoon milk. Scramble gently in a pan until just set.
- Spread sausage gravy evenly over pizza dough.
- Top with scrambled eggs, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 14–18 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted.
- Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overcook eggs before baking to keep them soft.
- Pre-baking the crust for 5 minutes can help prevent sogginess.
- Customize with mushrooms or bell peppers if desired.
