Description

A hearty breakfast pizza topped with creamy sausage gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and a golden pizza crust—perfect for a weekend brunch or crowd-pleasing breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pizza dough
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (beef or chicken)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk (for eggs)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Roll out pizza dough and place on a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove sausage and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly whisk in milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Stir cooked sausage back into the gravy and remove from heat.
  6. In a bowl, whisk eggs with 1 tablespoon milk. Scramble gently in a pan until just set.
  7. Spread sausage gravy evenly over pizza dough.
  8. Top with scrambled eggs, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese.
  9. Bake for 14–18 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted.
  10. Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Do not overcook eggs before baking to keep them soft.
  • Pre-baking the crust for 5 minutes can help prevent sogginess.
  • Customize with mushrooms or bell peppers if desired.
