Ingredients
- 6 bone-in or boneless chicken thighs, skin-on or skinless
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 360 ml chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Lightly dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off excess.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken thighs for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until softened and lightly browned.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
- Stir in dried thyme and bring to a simmer.
- Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and reduce heat to low.
- Simmer for 30–35 minutes until chicken is tender and gravy has thickened.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then serve hot.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits.
- Boneless thighs cook slightly faster than bone-in.
