Description

Spicy Voodoo Shrimp is a bold Cajun-inspired dish featuring juicy shrimp sautéed in a buttery, garlicky, and spicy sauce with smoky seasonings and a touch of heat.


Ingredients

  • 500 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)


Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and hot sauce if using.
  6. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to combine flavors.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
  8. Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
  • Adjust cayenne and hot sauce for desired heat level.
