Description
A hearty steak sandwich made with juicy grilled beef, fresh vegetables, and a flavorful sauce, all served in a toasted roll.
Ingredients
- 300g steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 sandwich rolls or baguette pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or garlic sauce
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the steak with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the steak for 3–4 minutes per side (or to desired doneness).
- Remove and let the steak rest, then slice thinly.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions until soft and caramelized.
- Slice and lightly toast the sandwich rolls.
- Spread mayonnaise or garlic sauce on the bread.
- Layer lettuce, tomato, steak slices, and sautéed onions.
- Close the sandwich and serve warm.

- Use ciabatta or hoagie rolls for better texture.
- Add cheese like provolone or cheddar for extra flavor.
