Description

A light and airy strawberry mousse made with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, perfect for a refreshing and elegant dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin (optional, for stability)
  • 2 tablespoons water (if using gelatin)

Instructions

  1. Blend strawberries with sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. If using gelatin, dissolve it in water and let it bloom, then gently heat until dissolved and mix into the strawberry puree.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving cups.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  7. Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • Gelatin helps the mousse hold its shape longer.
  • You can substitute sugar with honey or a sweetener.
  • Serve chilled for the best texture.
