Description
Thai Basil Beef Rolls are flavorful and aromatic rolls filled with savory ground beef, garlic, chilies, and fresh Thai basil, wrapped in crisp lettuce or spring roll wrappers for a fresh and satisfying dish.
Ingredients
- 500 g ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1–2 red chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 8 large lettuce leaves or spring roll wrappers
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots (optional)
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumber (optional)
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and chilies; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in fresh Thai basil until wilted.
- Spoon beef mixture into lettuce leaves or wrappers.
- Add shredded carrots and cucumber if using.
- Roll tightly and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust chilies to control spice level.
- Serve with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
- Best enjoyed fresh while warm.
