Description

Thai Basil Beef Rolls are flavorful and aromatic rolls filled with savory ground beef, garlic, chilies, and fresh Thai basil, wrapped in crisp lettuce or spring roll wrappers for a fresh and satisfying dish.


Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 red chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 8 large lettuce leaves or spring roll wrappers
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumber (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and chilies; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in fresh Thai basil until wilted.
  7. Spoon beef mixture into lettuce leaves or wrappers.
  8. Add shredded carrots and cucumber if using.
  9. Roll tightly and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust chilies to control spice level.
  • Serve with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
  • Best enjoyed fresh while warm.
