Description
Tuscan Garlic Butter Steak is a savory and creamy steak dish featuring a rich garlic butter sauce infused with herbs, perfect for any steak lover.
Ingredients
- 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut of steak)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 5-6 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth (or beef broth)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil to the pan. Once the oil is hot, add the steaks and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side (depending on your desired level of doneness).
- Once the steaks are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and let it melt. Add the minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Stir in the heavy cream and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over them. Let them cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to soak up the sauce.
- Optionally, sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Feel free to use different cuts of steak such as filet mignon or sirloin based on your preference.
- If you prefer a richer flavor, add more butter or Parmesan cheese to the sauce.
- For a healthier version, you can use a lighter cream or omit the cream altogether and increase the broth.
- Rest the steak before slicing to ensure it retains its juices.
