Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme


Instructions

  1. Remove steaks from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to reach room temperature.
  2. Pat steaks dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over high heat until very hot.
