Description
Meatball Parmesan Bake is a comforting baked dish made with juicy meatballs simmered in marinara sauce, topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, and baked until bubbly and golden.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef or beef and pork meatballs (about 20 small meatballs)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown the meatballs for 4–5 minutes.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Add the browned meatballs in an even layer.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the meatballs.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning evenly over the top.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can use homemade or store-bought meatballs.
- Serve with pasta, garlic bread, or over rice.
- For extra flavor, add sliced provolone cheese before baking.
- This dish can be assembled ahead of time and baked when ready to serve.
