Ingredients
- 500g chicken thighs or breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Wooden skewers (soaked in water)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Add chicken strips and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for more flavor).
- Thread marinated chicken onto soaked skewers.
- Preheat grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Grill or bake skewers for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through and brushing with extra marinade.
- Cook until chicken is fully cooked and slightly caramelized.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
