Ingredients
- 1 batch (9×13-inch) fudgy brownies, baked and completely cooled
- 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- White chocolate, melted for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Bake the brownies according to your favorite recipe or package directions and allow them to cool completely.
- Arrange the halved strawberries in a single layer over the cooled brownies, cut-side down.
- Place the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl.
- Heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer, then pour it over the chocolate chips.
- Let stand for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Stir in the butter and vanilla extract, if using.
- Pour the chocolate ganache evenly over the strawberries, spreading gently with an offset spatula.
- Drizzle with melted white chocolate if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the ganache is fully set.
- Slice into squares using a sharp knife wiped clean between cuts and serve chilled or at room temperature.
