Ingredients
- 1 large Italian sub roll or hoagie roll
- 3 slices salami
- 3 slices pepperoni
- 3 slices capicola or ham
- 2 slices provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 3 tomato slices
- 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons sliced banana peppers
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the Italian sub roll lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Layer the salami, pepperoni, and capicola evenly inside the roll.
- Add the provolone cheese slices on top of the meats.
- Top with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, and banana peppers.
- Drizzle olive oil and red wine vinegar over the vegetables.
- Sprinkle dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to taste.
- Close the sandwich, press gently, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately.
