Ingredients

  • 1 large Italian sub roll or hoagie roll
  • 3 slices salami
  • 3 slices pepperoni
  • 3 slices capicola or ham
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 3 tomato slices
  • 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sliced banana peppers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian sub roll lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  2. Layer the salami, pepperoni, and capicola evenly inside the roll.
  3. Add the provolone cheese slices on top of the meats.
  4. Top with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, and banana peppers.
  5. Drizzle olive oil and red wine vinegar over the vegetables.
  6. Sprinkle dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  7. Close the sandwich, press gently, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately.
