Description

Tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich and creamy mushroom sauce infused with garlic and herbs, perfect for a comforting and elegant meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until browned and tender.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, scraping up browned bits.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and thyme. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return chicken to the pan and coat with the creamy mushroom sauce.
  8. Cook for another 3–5 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
