Decadent layered brownies featuring a rich chocolate brownie base, creamy cheesecake layer, gooey caramel, and chopped Milky Way bars baked together for an indulgent dessert.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
- 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 4 Milky Way bars, chopped
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until well combined.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until a thick brownie batter forms.
- Spread about three-quarters of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth to create the cheesecake layer.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer and sprinkle chopped Milky Way bars on top.
- Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the top and lightly swirl if desired.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until the center is just set.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing for clean layers.
Notes
- For cleaner slices, chill the brownies in the refrigerator for about 1 hour before cutting.
- Use homemade or store-bought caramel sauce depending on preference.
- Do not overbake to keep the cheesecake layer creamy.
- Extra caramel can be drizzled on top before serving.
