Ingredients
- 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and chili flakes, stirring to combine.
- Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for another 1–2 minutes until shrimp are well glazed.
- Remove from heat, garnish with parsley or green onions, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
- Use fresh or properly thawed shrimp for best results.
- Add a splash of lime juice for extra brightness.
- Serve over rice, pasta, or with vegetables.
