Description

Succulent shrimp coated in a rich garlic butter honey glaze, ready in just 15 minutes for a quick and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and chili flakes, stirring to combine.
  6. Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  8. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until shrimp are well glazed.
  9. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley or green onions, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
  • Use fresh or properly thawed shrimp for best results.
  • Add a splash of lime juice for extra brightness.
  • Serve over rice, pasta, or with vegetables.
