Lazy Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken is an easy slow cooker recipe featuring tender chicken simmered in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce, perfect for serving over pasta, rice, or vegetables.
Ingredients
- 700 g (1.5 lb) boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (120 g) cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Lightly grease the crockpot or slow cooker.
- Place the chicken breasts or thighs at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper over the chicken.
- Top with cream cheese, heavy cream, butter, and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker and stir it into the creamy sauce.
- Let cook for another 10–15 minutes so the sauce thickens slightly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Serve over pasta, mashed potatoes, or rice for a complete meal.
- You can add spinach or mushrooms during the last hour of cooking.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a small amount of milk or chicken broth.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
