Description

A flavorful and elegant dish featuring tender sea bass fillets cooked with lemon and garlic, served alongside rich and creamy spinach for a balanced and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 sea bass fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 200 g fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the sea bass fillets with salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add the fish fillets skin-side down.
  3. Cook for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Add minced garlic and lemon juice to the pan and spoon the sauce over the fish.
  5. Remove fish from pan and set aside.
  6. In the same pan, melt butter and add spinach, cooking until wilted.
  7. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese.
  8. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, cooking until slightly thickened.
  9. Serve the sea bass over the creamed spinach and drizzle with remaining lemon-garlic sauce.

Notes

  • You can substitute sea bass with cod or tilapia.
  • Do not overcook the fish to keep it tender and flaky.
  • Fresh spinach works best, but frozen can be used if drained well.
  • Add a splash of white wine for extra flavor.
