Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 small onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced pickles
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon vinegar or pickle juice
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Divide ground beef into 6 portions and press each portion thinly onto one side of a tortilla.
- Season beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little butter or oil.
- Place tortilla beef-side down and press firmly to create a smash burger effect.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until beef is browned and crispy.
- Flip tortilla, sprinkle cheese over the beef, and cook for another 1–2 minutes until cheese melts.
- In a small bowl, mix ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and vinegar to make the sauce.
- Remove from pan and top with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.
- Drizzle with sauce, fold like a taco, and serve immediately.

- Use a hot skillet for a proper smash crust.
