Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar or pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil for cooking


Instructions

  1. Divide ground beef into 6 portions and press each portion thinly onto one side of a tortilla.
  2. Season beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little butter or oil.
  4. Place tortilla beef-side down and press firmly to create a smash burger effect.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes until beef is browned and crispy.
  6. Flip tortilla, sprinkle cheese over the beef, and cook for another 1–2 minutes until cheese melts.
  7. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and vinegar to make the sauce.
  8. Remove from pan and top with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.
  9. Drizzle with sauce, fold like a taco, and serve immediately.
