Description

Melted Burrata Chicken Pasta is a rich and creamy Italian-inspired dish featuring tender chicken, perfectly cooked pasta, juicy tomatoes, garlic, and luxurious burrata cheese melted into a silky sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz burrata cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add cherry tomatoes and red pepper flakes, cooking until tomatoes begin to soften and burst.
  7. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet and stir to combine.
  9. Add the cooked pasta and toss gently. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  10. Tear the burrata cheese over the hot pasta and gently stir until partially melted and creamy.
  11. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • Burrata melts best when added just before serving.
  • Use fresh basil for the best flavor.
  • You can substitute mozzarella if burrata is unavailable.
  • Serve immediately while the cheese is creamy and warm.
  • Add spinach or arugula for extra greens.
