A rich and cheesy million dollar ravioli bake layered with ravioli, creamy cheese filling, savory meat sauce, and melted mozzarella—an easy comfort-food casserole perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 package (700g) cheese ravioli
- 500g ground beef or Italian-style turkey sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a baking dish.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese and sour cream until smooth.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce.
- Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli.
- Top with meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers and finish with mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- Frozen ravioli can be used without thawing.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Let casserole rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with garlic bread or salad.
- Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
