Description

A rich and cheesy million dollar ravioli bake layered with ravioli, creamy cheese filling, savory meat sauce, and melted mozzarella—an easy comfort-food casserole perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (700g) cheese ravioli
  • 500g ground beef or Italian-style turkey sausage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  7. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
  8. Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce.
  9. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli.
  10. Top with meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  11. Repeat layers and finish with mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top.
  12. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  13. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  14. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Frozen ravioli can be used without thawing.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Let casserole rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve with garlic bread or salad.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
