Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 prepared sponge cake or shortcake, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (optional, for richness)
  • Food coloring or decorative sprinkles (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix chopped strawberries with sugar and let sit for 10–15 minutes to release juices.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  3. (Optional) Beat cream cheese until smooth and fold into whipped cream.
  4. Crumble or cut the sponge cake into small pieces.
  5. Layer cake pieces, strawberries, and whipped cream into egg-shaped molds or small cups.
  6. Repeat layers until molds are filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
  8. Decorate with sprinkles or colored cream to resemble Easter eggs.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy.
