Description

Sweet and savory honey garlic salmon glazed to perfection, delivering a quick and flavorful dinner that’s both elegant and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 150–180g each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4–5 minutes until crispy.
  4. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes, then remove from skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute.
  6. Add honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice, stirring to combine.
  7. Bring to a simmer and add cornstarch slurry if a thicker sauce is desired.
  8. Return salmon to the skillet and spoon sauce over the fillets.
  9. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until salmon is fully glazed and cooked through.
  10. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh salmon for best flavor and texture.
  • Do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist and tender.
  • You can bake the salmon instead of pan-frying if preferred.
  • Serve with rice, vegetables, or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Adjust honey and soy sauce for desired sweetness and saltiness.
